If you’re a fan of snickers bars I’m begginggg you to try this healthy version. They’re made with just 5 simple ingredients. Thank you @lovelydelites for this recipe!🙌🏻
1. Remove pits from dates and soak in hot water (not boiling) for about 10 minutes, then drain dates.
2. Add soaked dates, nut butter (3 tbsp), and vanilla extract to a food processor and blend until the mixture turns into a caramel paste.
3. Remove the date caramel from the food processor and set aside.
4. Add the almond flour, 1/2 tbsp of the date caramel, and 4 tbsp of nut butter to the food processor and blend for a few minutes until the mixture turns into a crumbly dough. The dough should be firm and able to hold its shape; if not, keep blending. Add 1-2 tbsp water if the mixture is too thick.
5. Add the nougat crust to a loaf pan lined with parchment paper, press the crust down until even.
6. Pour the prepared date caramel over the crust and spread evenly, then top with peanuts and slightly press them into the date caramel.
7. Freeze the loaf pan for about 60-90 minutes.
8. Remove the loaf pan from the freezer and place the parchment paper on a cutting board, then cut the snickers into equal sized bars.
9. Dip and coat each snickers bar with melted chocolate and place back in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes to harden completely.
10. Enjoy!
